Everly Brothers LP Collection

Music is a form of art that is unlike anything else on this planet. It can give hope, courage, excitement, insight, and motivation. Many people all share this same notion and some have become legends because of it. With this sentiment in light, the Everly Brothers are now joining the roster of other artists that have created new plateaus in music. This is something rare and should be acknowledged.

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum are releasing two limited edition box sets that will be placed permanently within the museum archives. In partnership with Cadence Records, the original recording company that released their work in the 1950’s, 180 Gram Records are releasing 5,000 limited box sets to the public. Each set will be made out of 180 gram vinyl and will come with 4 LPs. The Everly Brothers were inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 and won a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997. Their music inspired modern rock bands such as the Bee Gees and Rolling Stones. Their benchmark takes on country music of using very distinct vocal harmonies and steel stringed guitars during the 1950’s raised a lot of eyebrows. Since then, their music made 35 singles that made it to the Billboard Top 100 songs. Not to mention that 26 singles also climbed up to the Billboards Top 40.

Their salute to country music is something that was nearly becoming long overdue. Their 2 box set being archived into the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is a step toward legendary status. The Everly Brothers songs, “Bye Bye Love” and “All I Have To Do Is Dream”, were couple of their most well-known, even today. These box sets will be something that will cherished from many generations of musicians.
